Leming explores the intersection of social and biological power dynamics in her work. Drawing inspiration from the semiotic history of non-human species and the complex interplay between natural, cultural, and ideological forms, she investigates the overlooked intersectional conflicts and body politics of individual living matters, biological entities, and artificial apparatus. Currently, she is looking into the semiotic history of human or non-human species in religion and future ideology, preservation, and autoimmunity.
