You can Stay at My Church and I will Take your House

2019

Clay, cinder block, wood,
bee, steel bar, PVC pipe, steel mesh,

The robotic arm's movement embodies the limbo of a mid-stage protest. It grasps, protect, and hesitates, mirroring the tension between defiance and uncertainty moments. While the robotic form suggests sci-fi battles of the future, a closer look reveals internal conflict. Allergic reactions bloom on the arm's surface, symbolizing the external forces that trigger internal discord. This battle between self and other plays out beneath the harsh glare of warm industrial LED lights, forcing viewers to physically stoop and confront the complexity within.
